Innovation and entrepreneurship comes naturally to Richard Litman. He has been a lawyer for over 30 years. He has been a director of three commercial banks, and is currently a bank chairman. After finishing college at age 15, Richard went on to graduate from law school with honors. Richard also holds two advanced law degrees, including one in Forensic Science and the other, a LL.M. in Patent & Trade Regulation Law from The National Law Center of George Washington University, obtained during a post-graduate fellowship awarded by the Food and Drug Law Institute.

Richard is a Registered Patent Attorney and has been admitted to practice before several state and federal courts, including the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.He belongs to the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is recognized for his achievements in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. The Pennsylvania senate recognized Richard for his "tireless efforts to benefit the community at large". He was also commended by the President of the United States for his "deep concern about our future" and his "exemplary commitment to improving our world". He has an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating and is recognized in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

He has lectured in the last year on topics such as using global patent information and the international patent system to accelerate innovation, and models for multinational collaborative relationships. He has spoken at many universities in the Arabian Gulf including King AbdulAziz University, Kind Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, King Faisal University, King Saud AbdulAziz University for the Health Sciences, Imam Mohammad University, Kuwait University and the University of Bahrain. In November 2010 he was on the jury for the International Invention Fair for the Middle East, and spoke at the Licensing Executives Society (LES)-Arab Countries, Licensing Opportunities Forum 2010, held in cooperation with the Bahrain World Economic Summit.
